Wren is a growing collection

of art and artisans located on the south shore of Lake Superior. We carefully create beautiful original clothing, paintings, sculpture, jewelry and headwear. We curate fine and functional art created by our artisan friends and neighbors. Our shop inventory is continually changing, offering unique choices to new and returning visitors to northern Wisconsin.

Family Ties
Mother and daughter artists, Ann and Hannah Fawver, and cousin Arlene West own the gallery. Ann is a sculptor, painter, jeweler and knitter. Hannah designs and screenprints original clothing. Arlene creates collages that sometimes look like birds, and likes to sew original and remade clothing.

Why WREN?
Visitors often ask what inspired us to name the shop "Wren." We are family, and it's a family thing. More specifically, "Wren" is Hannah Fawver's middle name. And her name suits the kind of art she has in the shop. Her clothing designs are inspired by nature and the place she calls home, the south shore of Lake Superior. From flocks of seagulls taking flight to the flowers growing in her gardens, through her designs, Hannah allows you to wear the beauty and simplicity of her surroundings.

​Wearable Art!
​It's certainly true that clothing isn't all we offer at Wren, but we are each involved in designing and creating the kind of artful clothes we like to wear.

We feature a variety of original screenprinted shirts, skirts, leggings and dresses created by Hannah Fawver, with designs that reflect the environment of our Lake Superior location.

Ann Fawver is a painter and sculptor.  She also creates one-of-a-kind embellished felted hats, and designs elegant silver and copper necklaces and earrings.

​Vintage readymade clothing is selected and often redesigned by Arlene West for creative, unique looks in varied sizes.
